Father Stabbed in Road Rage Attack Commends Children

Date:

A courageous father, who was viciously attacked with a knife by a man displaying an intense and menacing gaze in an apparent case of road rage, has commended his two young kids for saving his life.

Chris Davison, aged 38, was driving his six-year-old daughter and eight-year-old son to a Halloween event on October 17 when he reported being aggressively tailgated by a black pickup truck. The hostile driver allegedly forced Davison off California State Route 67 twice, aggressively revving his engine and tailing Davison for several miles.

According to Davison, both individuals got out of their vehicles the second time the truck driver revved his engine. The man, who had a fierce stare, suddenly attacked Davison with a knife, stabbing him multiple times in front of his scared children who were still in the car.

Describing the incident, Davison mentioned that as he tried to shield his head by raising his arm, the attacker stabbed him multiple times. The assailant then drove away, leaving Davison severely injured and bleeding.

Davison shared that he instructed his son to find something to help stop the bleeding, mentioning a dinosaur sticker they had from the grocery store. When the sticker proved insufficient, his son rummaged through the vehicle and found a phone charger cord.

Quick-thinking, his children used their sweaters to help control the bleeding, with his daughter, dressed in her Halloween outfit, attempting to signal passing motorists for assistance.

A friend of Davison’s, who was on a motorcycle, noticed the scene and stopped to assist, cleaning a blood-soaked phone and calling emergency services. Paramedics arrived 27 minutes later, and miraculously, Davison’s vital organs were spared, allowing him to survive despite the severity of his wounds.

Expressing gratitude for his children, Davison stated that he is thankful for being able to embrace them and tuck them in every night.

The suspect, Noah Kane, was apprehended the following day by San Diego County authorities and has reportedly entered a not guilty plea to charges, including attempted murder.

By Thursday, a GoFundMe campaign for Davison had nearly met its goal, raising funds to cover his medical expenses, lost income during recovery, and essential needs for his family.
