A tragic incident occurred in Spain as a British tourist lost his life in a cycling accident on the N-340 road near Almunecar. The 57-year-old holidaymaker reportedly fainted while cycling in the popular Costa Tropical town. Despite emergency services’ swift response, the man could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The unfortunate event took place around 12:30 pm on Thursday, November 6, and the local police’s efforts to resuscitate the cyclist were unsuccessful. The deceased individual, who was staying at a hotel in Nerja, about 12 miles away, had fallen off his bike due to a health issue while engaging in the sport.
Authorities, including the Civil Guard, are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the cause of death, with no indications of foul play reported so far.
