“Steiner: Hamilton’s Ferrari Future in Question, Bearman a Potential Successor”

Date:

Guenther Steiner, the former Haas team principal, has expressed his belief that Lewis Hamilton might not stay long at Ferrari following a lackluster debut season. Steiner has identified young talent Oliver Bearman as a potential successor to Hamilton before the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Hamilton’s future with Ferrari has been a subject of discussion due to his underwhelming performance. Steiner suggests that if Hamilton’s struggles persist into the next season, his time with the Italian team could be cut short.

Bearman, who filled in for Carlos Sainz at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix last season and joined Ferrari’s Driving Academy in 2022, has impressed with his performance at Haas. Steiner and others see Bearman as a strong contender to take over Hamilton’s position.

Steiner, in a segment of The Red Flags podcast, expressed his support for Bearman, highlighting his recent successes and potential. Bearman has shown consistency with points in his last four races and is closing in on higher rankings in the Drivers’ Championship Standings.

Despite the ongoing speculation, Hamilton has hinted at staying with Ferrari for the foreseeable future, citing his existing contract.
