Luke Littler is gearing up for his debut defense of the PDC World Darts Championship against Darius Labanauskas at Alexandra Palace next month. The draw for the tournament was conducted on Monday afternoon.
The 18-year-old secured the 2025 world champion title by defeating Michael van Gerwen at Ally Pally in January. Since then, Littler has claimed victories at the UK Open, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts, and Players Championship, among other accolades.
Having recently climbed to the top ranking, surpassing Luke Humphries, Littler is in exceptional form as he prepares to defend his World Championship crown.
In the first round of the 128-player tournament, ‘The Nuke’ will face off against Lithuanian No.1 Labanauskas, hailing from Warrington.
Additionally, other notable opening fixtures include Luke Humphries against Ted Evetts, Michael van Gerwen against Mitsohiko Tatsunami, and Beau Greaves squaring off against Daryl Gurney.
