Following Virgin Media, Vodafone secured the second position with average download speeds of 175Mbps, with BT (EE) ranking third. TalkTalk lagged behind in the rankings with an average speed of slightly under 95Mbps.
The average download speeds of major UK ISPs are as follows:

Additionally, SpeedGo assessed upload speeds, crucial for users who frequently transfer large files or work remotely. Vodafone excelled in this category with an average upload speed of 83.6Mbps, surpassing Virgin Media, which ranked second with 47.2Mbps.
SpeedGo confirmed the results, stating, “Virgin Media provided the fastest broadband internet in the United Kingdom in 2025, with an average download speed of 256.5Mbps. Vodafone achieved the highest average upload speed at 83.6Mbps.”
