“Tesco Gives Away ‘Wonky’ Christmas Trees for Charity”

Date:

Tesco is offering free Christmas trees for a limited time. These trees, often considered “wonky” due to imperfections like uneven branches, will be given away on Saturday, December 6, in selected Tesco stores. Recipients are encouraged to donate to food charities Fareshare and Trussell.

The free trees will be available at specific locations starting at 10 am on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to one tree per household. Comparable Christmas trees from other retailers cost around £13.99 to £14.99.

Tesco’s UK CEO, Ashwin Prasad, emphasized finding joy in imperfect moments, stating that these unique trees can bring charm to any home and support charity partners. A recent Tesco survey revealed that most people believe Christmas doesn’t have to be flawless to be special, with imperfect moments adding to the holiday spirit.

In another offer, Tesco Clubcard members can earn double points on third-party gift card purchases throughout December, including gift cards from various brands sold at Tesco stores. Clubcard members earn points for various purchases, such as groceries, fuel, Tesco Mobile, and Tesco credit card transactions. Members can redeem points for vouchers worth £1.50 for use at Tesco stores.
