“Last Chance: Claim £100 Supermarket Vouchers Now!”

Date:

Time is running out for households to claim £100 in supermarket vouchers.

Nottingham City Council is offering these vouchers through the Household Support Fund, with the application deadline set at midnight.

While the council hasn’t specified the exact requirements, it’s anticipated that individuals with low income or receiving benefits may qualify. Interested individuals can submit their applications on the Nottingham City Council website.

The council aims to notify applicants via email by December 12, but the vouchers may not be received until February 28, 2026.

The vouchers, totaling 10,000, will be distributed randomly to successful households, irrespective of previous vouchers received. Eligible households can apply, even if they’ve received a voucher from the council since April 2025.

Councillor Cheryl Barnard, Executive Member for Children, Young People, and Education at the Council, expressed satisfaction with the additional £1m allocated to support Nottingham’s vulnerable residents during the winter months.

The funding aims to alleviate the financial strain on households facing rising living costs, providing crucial assistance when expenses are typically higher.

For households in ongoing financial difficulty, the council’s website offers additional advice and potential support options through various schemes and organizations.

The Household Support Fund, part of a £742 million national fund, is intended to aid vulnerable households across England with essential expenses like energy bills and food.

Individuals struggling financially are encouraged to contact their local council for available support. For instance, Wakefield Council is distributing food vouchers to low-income households receiving council tax assistance.

Pensioners benefiting from Council Tax Support received a £70 voucher in November, with additional vouchers planned for other eligible households.

Families qualifying for Council Tax Support will receive £50 vouchers starting December
