A man passed away ten days following an alleged assault at a charitable event, leaving his wife to mourn him as the “most amazing father.” Authorities are seeking witnesses and details regarding the incident where Jack Oliver Frogell, known as Olly, was purportedly attacked during a confrontation at a charity function at Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club. The incident, which occurred on October 25, led to Olly being hospitalized and an individual being apprehended the subsequent day.
Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit expressed condolences to Olly’s family. Taylor urged any witnesses who have not yet spoken with the police to come forward with any pertinent information to assist in fully understanding the events leading up to the altercation. It was emphasized that sharing any footage of the incident could hinder potential legal actions.
Olly’s wife, Lisa, described him as deeply cherished and irreplaceable, highlighting his role as a devoted father and husband, as well as a central figure in their community. Authorities are encouraging individuals with relevant information to report online, engage in web chat, or contact the non-emergency hotline, with the option of remaining anonymous through Crimestoppers.
