Over five years have passed since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry withdrew from their roles as active members of the British Royal Family. Despite this, formal traditions remain evident on specific occasions.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the Duchess of Sussex appeared makeup-free on the cover and openly discussed her life in Montecito. She reflected on aspects such as parenting, marriage, and navigating public scrutiny.
Amid a busy schedule, the mother of two is preparing for a Christmas special as part of her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. The upcoming show, set to premiere on December 3, showcases Meghan transitioning from royal duties to a lifestyle influencer, emphasizing the importance of maintaining connections with loved ones.
During a second encounter with Meghan at a stylish brownstone in New York, writer Kaitlyn Greenidge observed a gesture rooted in royal customs. Despite being the sole individuals present in the residence, Meghan, 43, was formally introduced as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
In her feature for Harper’s Bazaar, Kaitlyn recounted the moment: “When I enter, the house manager announces, ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’, even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house.”
Ascending to the second floor via a glass elevator in the living room, Meghan engaged in a range of discussions, including her surprise appearance at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week and her aspirations to inspire her children, six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet, through her entrepreneurial ventures and creative endeavors.
Sharing the proximity of her home office to the kitchen in her mansion, Meghan revealed how her daughter, Lilibet, often joins her during meetings, whether discussing business strategies for her brand or engaging in creative pursuits.
When questioned about the lessons she hopes to impart to her children through her work, Meghan expressed her desire for them to embrace bravery. She highlighted the essence of fearlessness in youth, indicating that as individuals age, they may tend to lose some of that innate courage.
Earlier this year, Meghan, who cherished memories of crafting preserves with her grandmother in Tennessee, introduced a selection of £6.50 jams as part of her successful As Ever collection. The “signature” raspberry jam, inspired by Meghan’s personal recipe, is a highlight on her official website.
