Apple has had a bustling week, unveiling a range of new products, including the iPhone 17e, upgraded iPad Air, and new MacBook Pro models featuring the latest M5 processors. Now, the company has introduced the much-anticipated MacBook Neo, a laptop offering colorful design, impressive performance, and a high-resolution 13-inch screen priced at just £599 – marking a significant price drop compared to the latest MacBook Air released this week.
The MacBook Neo is powered by Apple’s A18 Pro-series smartphone processor, providing sufficient performance for daily digital tasks, although not as fast as M-powered PCs. Running on macOS, the laptop offers access to popular applications like Microsoft Word, Pages, and iMovie.
With over 15 hours of battery life, the MacBook Neo is highly efficient. The device includes two USB-C ports but lacks MagSafe charging. It features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, a Magic Keyboard, Multi-Touch trackpad, and comes in Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus colors.
Available for pre-order now, the MacBook Neo will hit stores next week. John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, expressed excitement about the laptop, emphasizing its affordability and unique features that make it a standout product in the market.
