“WhatsApp Considering Premium Subscription with ‘WhatsApp Plus’ Upgrade”

Date:

A large portion of apps and services require a monthly subscription fee for their usage, and now WhatsApp seems to be considering entering this realm. Reports from WABetaInfo suggest that the chat application owned by Meta is working on an enhancement known as WhatsApp Plus.

This upgrade is expected to introduce exclusive updates and features, including the ability to pin up to 20 chats (up from the current limit of 3) and enhanced customization options such as changing the app’s theme, icon, and accent colors.

Additionally, users may enjoy bonus stickers, access to extra ringtones, and more engaging reactions for chat replies. WABetaInfo stated, “WhatsApp is developing a new optional premium subscription plan named ‘WhatsApp Plus’ for the standard consumer app, offering additional features in exchange for a monthly fee. The plan is currently in development for Android and iOS and has not been publicly released yet.”

In addition to the initial improvements, Meta may introduce more features over time for users willing to pay. While WhatsApp has not officially confirmed these speculations, test versions of the Plus app have been identified by WABetaInfo, indicating ongoing development.

It is important to note that the existing free version will remain available, and users will not be obligated to subscribe. This premium option is simply an added benefit for those willing to pay a monthly fee.

More updates about WhatsApp Plus are anticipated to be revealed soon, so stay tuned for further information.
