Having been stripped of his titles, including prince, the former royal will soon have to leave the 30-room mansion he has resided in for over two decades with minimal rent payment, following controversies surrounding his association with Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of engaging in inappropriate conduct with Virginia Giuffre when she was underage. Andrew continues to deny these accusations.
A van delivered six bottles of Devaux champagne, priced at £35 each, to the Windsor residence.
The delivery was received by a staff member at the gates, as the ex-prince, who abstains from alcohol and has not consumed any since his teenage years, remains in the residence.
Currently, Royal Lodge is still shared by Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and their staff, until they are required to depart in the coming weeks.
According to The Sun, a source expressed concerns about the optics of having champagne delivered to the premises amidst the ongoing situation.
Insiders suggest that Andrew and Fergie lead separate lives within the mansion as they prepare for their impending moves. Fergie reportedly spends much of her time near a bar at the back of the property, confiding in the staff about her concerns.
The couple reportedly interacts mainly during meals, discussing their divergent future plans. Andrew is expected to relocate to the private Sandringham Estate, with the expenses covered by the King’s personal funds, a move anticipated to take place after December.
This delay is to avoid any potential encounters over the Christmas period, as Sandringham traditionally hosts the royal family’s festive gathering.
Rumors suggest that Sarah Ferguson may consider leaving the UK and relocating abroad. A source mentioned on MailOnline expressed that she feels she has limited options.
The source stated, “Apart from her family, there is little holding her back. It seems her social invitations have diminished suddenly.”
