Google Urges Immediate Chrome Update to Fix Zero-Day Threats

Date:

Google has recently addressed two critical bugs in its Chrome browser, urging users to update their settings and restart the browser promptly. The vulnerabilities, known as CVE-2026-3909 and CVE-2026-3910, have been classified as zero-day threats, indicating active exploitation by cybercriminals.

To safeguard against potential risks, Google recommends verifying the Chrome version by accessing the menu and selecting “About Google Chrome.” Users should ensure they are running version 146.0.7680.75/76 for Windows/Mac or 146.0.7680.75 for Linux to stay protected.

If an older version is detected, users should promptly install the latest update to prevent exposure to online attacks. The update, version 146.0.7680.75/76 for Windows/Mac and 146.0.7680.75 for Linux, is being rolled out gradually by Google.

By staying vigilant and updating Chrome, users can mitigate the potential risks associated with the recently patched vulnerabilities.
