“Luke Littler Advances as Suljovic Predicted Showdown”

Date:

Luke Littler has shared that Mensur Suljovic predicted their encounter in the third round of the World Darts Championship even before the tournament began. Littler, 18, advanced in the competition by defeating Welsh player David Davies in straight sets.

With Gerwyn Price eliminated by Wesley Plaisier in the same quarter of the draw, Littler remains a strong contender at Alexandra Palace. Suljovic, after a slow but intense match against Joe Cullen, emerged victorious in the afternoon session.

Cullen expressed frustration over Suljovic’s deliberate pace during their match, accusing him of ‘cheating’ on social media. Despite the criticism, Suljovic remained focused on his upcoming games.

Before the tournament commenced, Suljovic had anticipated a showdown with Littler. Following his win against Davies, Littler shared a brief text message he received from the 53-year-old in an interview, acknowledging Suljovic’s good performance.

In the midst of these events, tensions rose between Cullen and Suljovic due to the latter’s playing speed. Cullen openly criticized Suljovic’s behavior on social media, labeling it as ‘cheating’ and raising concerns about the sport.

Littler had a successful evening, with potential threats like Cullen and Ryan Joyce being eliminated by other players. The path to the final appears more favorable for Littler, especially after Chris Dobey, a potential quarter-final opponent, was also defeated.

The PDC World Darts Championship commenced on December 11, providing fans the opportunity to watch every match live exclusively through Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle.
