The latest report from Ofcom reveals the performance of UK broadband providers in handling customer complaints. Vodafone and TalkTalk are highlighted as the most complained-about ISPs, with Vodafone experiencing a notable increase in complaints compared to the previous period. In contrast, Virgin Media emerges as one of the least complained-about providers, marking a significant improvement from past evaluations.
According to Ofcom, the top performers in terms of customer satisfaction are Plusnet and Virgin Media, with other commendable providers including Sky. The data indicates that Virgin Media and Plusnet received the fewest complaints per 100,000 users.
In a separate analysis, Ofcom also reviewed landline and Pay-TV services. Utility Warehouse excelled in landline services with minimal complaints, closely followed by Sky, Virgin Media, and Vodafone. For Pay-TV, TalkTalk secured the top spot, with Sky following closely behind.
Despite some positive outcomes, overall complaints across various services have increased, mainly attributed to recent price hikes affecting many households nationwide. Cristina Luna-Esteban, Ofcom’s Director of Consumers and Retail Markets, expressed concern over the uptick in complaints, particularly following a period of decreasing complaints. She linked the rise to unexpected mid-contract price adjustments for mobile customers in late 2025, emphasizing the need for continued market monitoring to address customer dissatisfaction effectively.
