Authorities have released video footage of the individual they wish to speak with regarding the incidents that occurred in Hove Lawns, East Sussex, and the surrounding areas. The suspect, described as a bald man in his 40s with either a Spanish or Italian accent, is known to wear workout attire.
The man reportedly approached the victims, who were either taking a break or finishing their exercise routines, during the hours of 4:30 am to 9:30 am. He is said to have sexually assaulted them over their clothing. The recent incidents are believed to be connected to previous reports from last year and 2023, which led to the arrest and subsequent release of a suspect without further action taken.
Detective Inspector Jenny Pietersen emphasized that public safety is the top priority for law enforcement, and an investigation is currently underway. Additional patrols have been deployed along the seafront to enhance the safety of women in the vicinity. Individuals who witnessed the incidents or can identify the suspect are urged to come forward promptly.
Furthermore, authorities are in communication with the victims, and the detective reassured that there is no indication of an elevated risk to women on the seafront.
