Two disturbing incidents of car firebomb attacks in the same town are currently under investigation by law enforcement authorities who suspect a possible connection between the two cases.
The first incident occurred at Lawson Gardens in Kirkcaldy, Fife, at 3:05 am on Thursday, November 13, where a car was engulfed in flames. Shortly after, at 3:25 am, another vehicle was set ablaze at Haig Avenue, just half a mile away. Emergency services, including Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, swiftly responded to both scenes.
Authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding the two car fires, which are believed to be linked. A photograph captured the car at Lawson Gardens consumed by fire before firefighters managed to extinguish it.
A spokesperson from Police Scotland referred to the incidents as “wilful fire-raising” and urged individuals with any relevant information to come forward. The Daily Record reported that the authorities in Kirkcaldy are actively investigating these deliberate acts of fire-raising.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched one fire engine to Haig Avenue following the report of a vehicle fire, confirming no casualties. The spokesperson stated that firefighters promptly extinguished the fire and secured the area without any injuries reported.
