Montreal’s tennis player Felix Auger-Aliassime faced a defeat of 6-3, 6-4 against American Frances Tiafoe in the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open on Wednesday evening. Despite Auger-Aliassime’s 13-2 lead in aces, he committed 37 unforced errors during the match. In contrast, Tiafoe, seeded No. 17, made only 16 unforced errors and secured the win in one hour and 40 minutes.
Moving to the doubles event, Canadian player Gabriela Dabrowski and Czech player Barbora Krejcikova lost a tough match against Czech players Linda Noskova and Marie Bouzkova with a score of 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 in the third round. Dabrowski, hailing from Ottawa, usually partners with Luisa Stefani, but due to Stefani’s ongoing elbow injury, she played with Krejcikova at this event.
