He has shown consistent improvement in the Diamond League over the years, finishing third in 2019, second in 2021, and sixth in 2022.
The upcoming Diamond League Final in Belgium will feature a competitive field in the men’s 200 meters, with top athletes like Dambile, Letsile Tebogo, Bednarek, and others vying for the championship title. De Grasse will be aiming to become the first Canadian to win the Diamond League since Sarah Mitton’s victory two years ago.

Alison dos Santos set a new world record of 45.80 seconds in the men’s 400m hurdles, while Masai Russell broke the women’s 100m hurdles world record with a time of 12.09 seconds. The competition showcased exceptional performances and a display of athleticism at the highest level.
