“Alton Towers to Debut Bluey-Themed Rollercoaster Ride”

Date:

Alton Towers will soon introduce a brand-new rollercoaster inspired by the beloved Heeler family from the popular show Bluey. The upcoming Bluey-themed ride, titled Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!, will be a unique addition to CBeebies Land, joining other favorites like Peter Rabbit and Hey Duggee.

The rollercoaster features Bluey and Bingo in their granny outfits, with Janet and Rita, the grannies, leading the way in their car followed by multiple coaster cars. The name of the ride is a nod to an episode from the show’s first season, where Bluey and Bingo create mischief as playful elderly ladies, exclaiming “Here come the grannies!” to kick off their imaginative game.

Natasha Spence, Events Director of Live Entertainment at BBC Studios, expressed excitement about bringing the energy of these iconic characters to life at Alton Towers Resort. In addition to the rollercoaster, fans can still enjoy the live stage show at the Big Fun Showtime area and even book Bluey-themed rooms at the CBeebies Land Hotel.

The Bluey rooms at the hotel mirror the Heeler family’s vibrant home, complete with themed décor and bunk beds resembling Bluey and Bingo’s room. Families of up to five can stay in these rooms, while larger groups of up to seven can opt for a Bluey suite with a separate kids’ sleeping area and a themed playroom for imaginative playtime.

Further details about the Bluey rollercoaster and its official opening will be disclosed in the near future. For more information on CBeebies Land and ticket bookings, visit the official Alton Towers website.
