“Amazon Slashes Streaming Prices Up to 60% for Prime Day 2026”

Date:

Amazon has reduced the prices of Apple TV, Paramount+, and MGM+ by up to 60% to celebrate the commencement of its latest Prime Day sale. The e-commerce giant initiated a site-wide sales event on Tuesday, offering subscriptions for various major streaming services starting from £2.99.

During the ongoing sale, customers on Amazon can now subscribe to Apple TV for half the price at £4.99 per month, down from the regular £9.99. Subscribers securing this offer will enjoy the discounted rate for two months, after which it will revert to the standard £9.99 unless canceled.

Similarly, MGM+, which features content like “Project Hail Mary,” is now priced at £2.99 for two months, reduced from £5.99, while Paramount+ is available at £2.99 for one month, down from £7.99. These discounted rates are valid until July 2 as part of Amazon’s Prime Day 2026 sale.

Exclusive discounts are also available from June 23-26 for Prime members or those on a Prime 30-day free trial on thousands of items. Additionally, Prime Video is offering free trials for Lionsgate+, Studiocanal Presents, and Crunchyroll.

Customers should note that both the discounted streaming subscriptions and free trials will automatically transition to standard paid subscriptions once the promotional period ends. Therefore, subscribers are advised to cancel their subscriptions before the conclusion of the discounted or free trial period to avoid being charged the standard rate.

Moreover, Sky is providing complimentary streaming subscriptions with its TV packages, offering customers who sign up for the £24 Ultimate TV bundle access to Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney+, along with around 135 channels including Sky Atlantic.

For Apple TV enthusiasts, the streaming service has released several acclaimed titles this year, such as the comedy horror “Widow’s Bay,” which holds an impressive 98% Rotten Tomatoes score. Additionally, the second season of “Sugar,” a neo-noir detective series starring Colin Farrell, has recently premiered.

Apple TV users can also enjoy popular series like Ted Lasso, Severance, and Slow Horses. Alternatively, a seven-day free trial is available for new subscribers signing up directly on the Apple TV platform.

MGM+ offers hit titles like “Project Hail Mary,” starring Ryan Gosling, in addition to series like Outlander and the James Bond film collection. On Paramount+, members can catch the latest series of “The Agency” and “Dutton Ranch,” part of the Yellowstone spin-off, for £2.99.
