Apple is hosting its annual WWDC Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, unveiling a range of updates for its products, including the iPhone. The upcoming features set to launch later this year promise enhanced customization, improved parental controls, quicker app launching, and a more intuitive Siri assistant. The highly anticipated release is expected to bring significant benefits to users with devices compatible with Apple Intelligence.
Initially introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence faced challenges with several promised features failing to materialize. However, the tech giant has been diligently working to enhance this innovative service, gearing up to introduce the improvements to the public soon.
Scheduled for release in September, Apple Intelligence is poised to simplify life by assisting in calendar organization and providing contextual one-tap suggestions based on users’ Messages conversations. For instance, receiving a message requesting “photos of mum” from a contact will prompt Apple Intelligence to display relevant images from the user’s photo library for quicker access.
Noteworthy updates extend to Safari browsers, introducing features like Notify Me, enabling users to monitor webpage changes such as product restocks or price adjustments. Additionally, Safari tabs now automatically categorize themselves by topic for improved organization.
Among the standout features is the revamped photo capabilities within Apple Intelligence, offering advanced image retouching, object removal, background extension without requiring Photoshop skills, and a new feature called Spatial Reframing to adjust composition post-photo capture.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, emphasized the company’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to create user-friendly products, particularly focusing on integrating AI into everyday user experiences with a privacy-centered approach. The forthcoming iOS 27 update will introduce the enhanced Apple Intelligence to various iPhone models, including the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 range, iPhone 17 models, and the iPhone Air.
