Professional darts player Luke Littler has humorously hinted that he might entertain the idea of participating in the popular TV show “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here” if a substantial sum of £50 million was offered, despite his current reservations after watching the show this season.
The 18-year-old sports prodigy has been closely following this year’s season of the show to support his friend, streamer Angry Ginge, whose involvement sparked speculation about Littler joining the lineup. Dubbed ‘The Nuke,’ Littler expressed openness to the idea if the financial incentive was right.
Reflecting on the possibility, Littler revealed that he might consider a brief stint on the show if the offer was lucrative enough. However, upon further contemplation, he now seems less enthusiastic about the prospect of braving the jungle alongside hosts Ant and Dec.
In a recent interview with talkSPORT, Littler admitted that witnessing the challenges on the show has made him rethink his initial willingness, stating, “I said I’d go in if the money was right but after watching all these challenges, I actually couldn’t go in! I physically couldn’t go in.”
When asked if he would reconsider for £10 million, Littler declined. However, when the interviewer proposed a staggering £50 million, he humorously switched his response to a “maybe,” highlighting his apprehension about facing the show’s daunting tasks, particularly involving snakes.
While Angry Ginge prepares for his upcoming trials, Littler is gearing up to defend his title at the PDC World Darts Championship, commencing at Ally Pally next month. As the reigning world champion and newly crowned world No 1 in darts, Littler aims to replicate Gary Anderson’s feat by defending the Sid Waddell trophy, starting with a match against Darius Labanauskas on December 11.
