“Fatal Warehouse Fire in Turkey Claims Six Lives”

A tragic incident unfolded in Turkey as a fire engulfed a perfume warehouse, resulting in the loss of at least six lives.

Emergency response teams swiftly reacted to the crisis in Kocaeli province following reports of multiple explosions and a significant blaze around 9 am local time.

The governor, İlhami Aktaş, confirmed the death toll of six individuals due to the fire, while several others are currently under medical care. Speaking to CNN Türk, Aktaş stated, “The cause of the fatal fire that claimed six lives is under investigation, and the injured are receiving necessary treatment.”

The fire has since been brought under control, with images from Turkish media showing firefighters dousing the flames.

Expressing his condolences, the country’s prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, conveyed sympathies to the families of the victims.

In a social media post, Erdoğan wrote, “I offer my heartfelt condolences to our deceased compatriots affected by the warehouse fire in Dilovası district of Kocaeli, praying for their souls.

“The Ministry of Labor and Social Security, in collaboration with other relevant authorities, has launched investigations into the incident. My sympathies go out to the families and friends of the deceased, and I wish a swift recovery to the injured.”

Mansur Yavaş, the mayor of Ankara, the capital city, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic event, stating, “The fire at the perfume warehouse in Kocaeli has brought immense sadness to us all. I pray for divine mercy for our fellow citizens who lost their lives and speedy healing for the injured.”
