If you’re looking for an excuse to seriously indulge yourself this Easter, Prezzo has just the thing.

Easter eggs have been adorning supermarket shelves for months, and you’ve likely already indulged in one or two because we all know that everyone on social media discusses how chocolate eggs taste infinitely better than regular chocolate bars.

There’s nothing better than devouring them on Easter Sunday guilt-free, too, and this year, Prezzo restaurants across the UK are offering you a way to level up your Easter egg game on April 20th.

And, what’s more, it’s completely free – all you need to do is turn up with one thing. However, if you’re feeling desperate to try it, you can grab yourself a Creme Egg Calzone now for just £5.

Chad Crooks, Prezzo’s Food Director, said: “The Creme Egg Calzone is set to be the ultimate Easter indulgence this year. We know how much everyone loves Creme Eggs, and by combining them with the comforting, satisfying flavours of our Calzone, we’re creating something truly special that will make Easter celebrations even sweeter.

“And on Sunday 20th, if the Easter Bunny has left you some extra Creme Eggs to enjoy, bring them down, and we’ll Calzone them up for you. No charge!”

When I heard that Prezzo was offering Creme Egg Calzones, I just knew that I had to try. What could be better than everyone’s favourite major sweet treat all wrapped up in soft, doughy bread?

Upon trying it, I was not disappointed in the slightest. The Cadbury Creme Egg had melted perfectly in the bread, leaving the fondant inside the egg hot and caramel-y and the chocolate warm and comforting. The flavours of the egg and the bread definitely complemented each other.

At first, I was a bit worried there was too much bread, but if you wanted to polish it off, there is a portion of ice cream that comes with it, covered in flake, so you can definitely attempt the whole thing if you want to.

Indeed, not an everyday indulgence, the treat would satisfy even the sweetest tooth. It was the perfect combination – and the fact you can get it for free on Easter Sunday is a reason to head down.

All you need to do is pre-book a table and take your Creme Egg with you, and the chefs will turn it into a calzone completely free of charge. It’s ideal if you know you’ve got someone in your family a Creme Egg Easter egg, and they’re going to have spares available.

It’s worth noting that you do need to order a main from the set menu to take advantage of this, and it’s one calzone per person.

So will you be heading to Prezzo this Easter to get a Creme Egg calzone? Let us know in the comments…
