“McDonald’s Customer Throws Scalding Coffee at Manager”

Date:

A McDonald’s patron is being pursued by law enforcement for hurling a just-made cup of scalding coffee at a manager during a disagreement regarding a refund. Startling security footage captures the female customer yelling expletives and then tossing the hot coffee over the counter. The incident resulted in the McDonald’s employee sustaining minor burns.

The video reveals the customer accusing the manager of dishonesty repeatedly, leading to a heated exchange. Despite the manager’s attempts to clarify the refund process and reassure the customer, the situation escalated with the customer demanding an apology and expressing frustration over the perceived delay in processing.

The disturbing incident occurred at a Saginaw, Michigan branch and has garnered widespread attention online. Detective Russ Pahssen stated that the assailant has been identified but not yet apprehended. A warrant has been issued for her arrest, potentially resulting in felony assault charges, which could be downgraded based on the manager’s injuries.

Law enforcement confirmed that the suspect resides near the McDonald’s location and fled the scene following the assault. Authorities are actively seeking her arrest, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards violent behavior in response to minor disputes. One officer involved in the case emphasized the seriousness of the situation, categorizing the act of throwing hot coffee as not just impolite but criminal.
