The Met Office has expanded a current yellow weather alert, now forecasting heavy rainfall in additional regions. The 19-hour alert for rain commenced on Thursday morning. According to the national weather service, the warning has been extended to cover more northern and western parts of Scotland, with the end time pushed into the afternoon.
