Morrisons is distributing more than 27 tons of carrots for customers to offer to Rudolph and his companions.
Starting from December 20 until Christmas Eve, shoppers can receive a complimentary carrot from the “Naturally Wonky” selection, subject to availability. These carrots may have slightly unconventional shapes or sizes.
Chris Smith, Morrisons’ Root Veg Senior Trader, expressed, “Christmas embodies spreading joy and happiness, hence we are pleased to provide our younger customers with a free wonky carrot to leave out for Rudolph and friends on Christmas Eve.”
“Our Naturally Wonky range supports British farmers, minimizes waste, and offers customers a cost-effective option that maintains excellent taste.”
This initiative coincides with various major UK supermarkets reducing the price of Christmas vegetables to just 5p, such as potatoes, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts.
