The UK tech brand Nothing continues to impress with its frequent product releases. Since its inception in 2022, Nothing has introduced a range of innovative gadgets, including Android phones, smartwatches, and earbuds. Now, the brand is unveiling its latest creation.
I recently had the opportunity to test Nothing’s first over-the-ear headphones. Up until now, the CMF line has been a budget-friendly sub-brand under Nothing, but the Headphone Pro marks a significant step forward for CMF as a standalone product.
While CMF’s aesthetic differs slightly from Nothing’s usual style, it still maintains its own unique charm despite lacking the transparent casing that typically showcases the inner components of CMF products.
The design may not be to everyone’s taste, but I found the Headphone Pro’s distinct appearance to be quite appealing. Beyond looks, the headphones deliver impressive sound quality, which is essential for any audio device.
The controls on the Headphone Pro are tactile and responsive, offering a bass-boost slide button that allows users to customize the audio experience to their preference. Additionally, the headphones feature a versatile control mechanism for adjusting volume, changing tracks, activating ANC, and accessing the voice assistant on your device.
The active noise cancellation on the Headphone Pro performs well, effectively blocking out constant background noise while listening to music, although sudden loud sounds may still penetrate through. Overall, the Headphone Pro offers a compelling package suitable for both Android and iOS users.
What’s even more remarkable is the price point of £79 for the CMF Headphone Pro, available on nothing.tech. While they may not have all the bells and whistles of higher-end brands like Sony and Bose, the affordability of the Headphone Pro sets them apart from the competition.
