“Peppa Pig, Wicked Dolls & F1 Lego Lead DreamToys List”

Date:

Peppa Pig, Wicked dolls, Formula 1 Lego, and Hot Wheels are among the top picks for must-have toys this holiday season. Industry insiders and toy retailers have identified these products as potential best-sellers for the upcoming year’s DreamToys list.

One standout item is the Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll, featuring more than 20 interactive sounds and accessories like a playmat, bottle, dummy, bib, and blanket. Additionally, kids can enjoy their own dinosaur experience with the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex, where they can hatch the dinosaur from an egg and engage in interactive play.

The Wicked For Good Singing Dolls are expected to be popular, especially with the release of the franchise’s final movie this month. Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Formula 1 is represented on the list through Lego and Mattel’s Hot Wheels Racing F1 Grand Prix Circuit, along with the Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC.

The selection also includes collectibles such as Dress to Impress Mystery Model Dolls, Mini Brands Fill the Fridge Playset, and Pokemon. Building sets, notably Lego’s Speed Champions F1 Racing Cars and One Piece the Going Merry Pirate Ship, continue to be a rapidly growing category for the second consecutive year.

The UK toy market has reached a value of £3.9 billion, with an estimated 23% of annual sales attributed to the Christmas season. Parents’ spending on children’s gifts has seen a 12% increase year over year, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth, as reported by market intelligence firm The Insights Family.

Paul Reader, chairman of the DreamToys selection panel at the Toy Retailers Association, emphasized the diverse range of toys this year aimed at inspiring creativity and imagination. He encouraged shoppers to refer to the list for gift ideas, praising the support for both local independent toy stores and larger chains during the festive period.

Melissa Symonds, executive director of UK toys at Circana, expressed optimism for the toy market’s growth after several years of soft market conditions, signaling a positive outlook for toy manufacturers and retailers as they approach the crucial holiday season.
