Police in Manchester have issued a strong caution to parents following incidents where children were observed lighting fireworks and throwing them at individuals on the streets. Authorities in Bolton reported multiple incidents on November 8 involving fireworks being thrown in the Queens Park and Boardman Street areas of Halliwell. Several youths were stopped and searched in response to these reports. In a message directed at parents on their social media page, the Bolton police highlighted the seriousness of the situation.
This warning comes shortly after the arrest of four teenagers in Birmingham for alleged violent disorder, during which weapons were confiscated due to attacks on officers. The police emphasized the dangers associated with such behavior, stressing the potential for severe injuries or even fatalities. Concerned residents expressed their dismay at the ongoing disturbances caused by fireworks, likening the situation to a prolonged period of explosive disturbances.
