“Prince Andrew Prepares for Frogmore Cottage Move”

Date:

Workmen have been working tirelessly at Frogmore Cottage in preparation for Prince Andrew’s anticipated relocation, as per recent reports. Prince Andrew, who recently renounced his royal titles due to his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, is under mounting pressure to vacate the Royal Lodge. It was suggested several months ago that Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson consider Adelaide Cottage and Frogmore Cottage as potential residences.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who resided in Frogmore Cottage in 2019, invested £2.4 million in refurbishing the Grade-II listed property. However, they were asked to vacate the cottage in 2023. According to The Sun, Prince Andrew has agreed to leave the Royal Lodge and expressed interest in moving to Frogmore Cottage, while Sarah is reportedly inclined towards Adelaide Cottage. Remaining in Windsor would enable Andrew to stay close to his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as their children.

An insider revealed to the newspaper that renovation activities have been ongoing at Frogmore Cottage day and night, with workmen coming and going for weeks. The property, owned by the Crown Estate, was constructed in 1972 by Queen Charlotte as a retreat for herself and her daughters. Since World War Two, the cottage has primarily accommodated royal household staff until the Sussexes resided there. Prince Andrew’s daughter, Princess Eugenie, also briefly lived in the cottage. Although the home was reportedly offered to Prince Andrew by the King last year, he declined the offer.

Buckingham Palace has refrained from commenting on Prince Andrew’s potential relocation or his future residence.
