“Prison Guard Testifies: Threatened to Enhance Buttocks”

Date:

A prison guard claimed that a convicted robber threatened her with death if she did not comply with his demands to enhance her buttocks. Isabelle Dale, aged 23, is facing allegations of engaging in a romantic relationship with Shahid Sharif, a prisoner at HMP Coldingley serving time for a violent jewelry store robbery between September 1 and December 31, 2022. Testifying at Southwark Crown Court, Dale denied any sexual involvement with Sharif but admitted to intimate encounters in a prayer room at the prison while two other inmates acted as lookouts.

Dale described being initially charmed by Sharif’s charisma but later being subjected to repeated threats. According to her testimony, Sharif coerced her into getting buttock enlargements and purchasing a ring as a symbol of loyalty, under threats of violence. Dale recounted feeling degraded by Sharif’s demands for physical changes and claimed that he criticized her appearance extensively.

Moreover, Dale revealed that Sharif forced her to assist in smuggling envelopes containing a synthetic drug called spice. Allegedly, she also managed Sharif’s Snapchat account to procure the drug through an outsider named Lilea Sallis. Police discovered drug-related items in Dale’s car, including an engagement ring allegedly bought by Sharif and a framed canvas depicting the two together.

During questioning by her defense solicitor, Dale professed ignorance about the content of the spice-laced envelopes, stating she did not dare question Sharif. She disclosed Sharif’s admission of past sexual encounters with other prison staff and his demand for her to acquire a sex toy to prove her fidelity.

Dale, residing in Portsmouth, denied engaging in physical relations with Sharif but admitted to engaging in phone sex. She refuted charges of misconduct in a public office and conspiracy to convey prohibited items into the prison. Sallis, from East Sussex, also denied involvement in the conspiracy. Sharif had previously pleaded guilty to conspiring with the two women and others to smuggle drugs into the prison.

The trial is ongoing.
