“Revolut Mobile Launches: Unlimited 5G Data for £12.50/Mo”

Date:

A new player is entering the UK’s mobile network market, presenting an opportunity for consumers to potentially reduce their monthly expenses. Revolut, a financial and tech company, has launched Revolut Mobile, offering an enticing deal of unlimited 5G data, calls, and texts for just £12.50 per month to early subscribers.

This pricing significantly undercuts similar unlimited plans from major UK networks like EE and Vodafone, which currently charge £25 per month. For frequent travelers, Revolut’s offer includes 20GB of roaming data in the EU and the US at no extra cost, allowing users to stay connected abroad without incurring additional fees, a feature not commonly found with other UK providers.

Revolut Mobile enhances its service with a Messaging Pass for global messaging in over 80 countries, enabling low-bandwidth data usage for platforms like WhatsApp. Additionally, customers can link up to three phone numbers to one plan, simplifying management of work, personal, and travel lines. Subscribers also receive a complimentary NordVPN membership for secure browsing.

The service is gradually rolling out to waitlisted customers, with public availability slated for January 2026. While Revolut aims to challenge established networks such as EE, Vodafone, and O2, industry experts caution that success is not guaranteed. Paolo Pescatore, an analyst, emphasizes the importance of flawless execution in merging banking and mobile services amidst a fiercely competitive MVNO market.

Despite the obstacles, Revolut remains confident in its ability to compete and disrupt the industry. Hadi Nasrallah, General Manager of Telco at Revolut, asserts that Revolut Mobile is not just another mobile service but a distinct alternative focused on innovation, transparency, and user experience.

“Our goal is to provide top-quality service at an affordable price, supported by exceptional user experience. We are introducing genuine innovation through features like multiple numbers and global messaging, while eliminating hidden charges and unnecessary complexity,” Nasrallah stated.
