Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that it will increase its attacks on targets in Kyiv and various regions of Ukraine in response to recent statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The ministry stated that Russian forces will escalate strikes on military installations, defense industry facilities, and associated infrastructure in Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine.
In an interview with Reuters, Zelenskyy disclosed that Ukraine will retaliate by targeting Russian oil refineries following Moscow’s new strategy of carrying out airstrikes to compel residents to evacuate Kyiv and other urban areas. However, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainian forces will not harm civilians in their actions.
Meanwhile, a fire erupted at an industrial site in Russia’s Krasnodar region due to debris from a drone strike hitting the location in the Temryuk district. According to regional authorities, three individuals sustained injuries and were undergoing medical treatment, while emergency response teams were present at the scene to manage the situation.
