Samsung has unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with one standout feature that outshines the iPhone. The S26 Ultra boasts a cutting-edge Privacy Display that prevents unauthorized viewing of the screen content, activated through settings to make content disappear when not directly viewed. This feature ensures privacy in public settings, preventing onlookers from accessing private information. The Privacy Display can be customized to block specific apps or notifications, enhancing user control over their privacy.
Samsung describes the Galaxy S26 Ultra as the first in the mobile industry to integrate a built-in Privacy Display, revolutionizing privacy protection on smartphones by manipulating pixel dispersion to maintain clarity for the user while limiting visibility to others. Besides this innovative feature, the Ultra model offers a sleek design, extended battery life, and is powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for enhanced performance. Rapid charging capabilities allow for quick recharging, reaching 75% capacity in just 30 minutes.
The Ultra model also introduces an upgraded quad rear camera for improved night photography and enhanced video stabilization with Super Steady technology, including a new horizontal lock option for smoother video recording. Additionally, the S Pen is integrated into the device, allowing users to jot down notes on the 6.9-inch AMOLED screen.
Accompanying the Ultra variant are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and a larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and featuring triple-lens rear cameras. All new Samsung smartphones benefit from enhanced smart features with a Galaxy AI upgrade, offering improved user experiences with features like Now Nudge, which provides relevant suggestions to enhance productivity.
The Galaxy S26 range is priced as follows in the UK:
