Jade Melbourne contributed 16 points and provided seven assists for Seattle, which had struggled in recent games, winning only one of their last 15 matches. Awa Fam and Zia Cooke also made significant contributions with 10 points each.
Toronto faced challenges as their top scorers Marina Mabrey (adductor), Brittney Sykes (foot), and Nyara Sabally (calf) were unavailable. Despite the obstacles, rookie Kiki Rice stood out with a season-high 24 points for Toronto, while Isabelle Harrison recorded 17 points and an impressive 14 rebounds.
The game saw Seattle take control in the third quarter with an 11-4 run, leading to a 64-61 advantage. They extended their lead in the fourth quarter with a 9-2 spurt, establishing a 10-point lead over Toronto.
Looking ahead, Toronto will face Las Vegas on Friday night, while the Seattle Storm will host Los Angeles on Sunday.
