Sky has revealed modifications to its TV channel lineup, with new changes taking effect soon. Two channels, Sky Showcase and Sky Max, will no longer be available starting February 24. However, to compensate, a well-loved channel, Sky One, will be reintroduced with a lineup of comedy and entertainment programs like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby.
In addition to new content, popular shows such as Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted will also be accessible on Sky One. Moreover, the channel will host Saturday Night Live UK in the near future.
Sky’s Managing Director, Carli Kerr, emphasized the channel’s aim to provide an exceptional viewing experience by offering a diverse range of shows, including new Sky Originals and returning favorites.
Sky One is set to launch on channel 106 on February 24. Alongside this launch, Sky is introducing a new package called Ultimate TV for £24 per month, granting customers access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app. Subscribers to this plan will enjoy over 130 premium channels, such as Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime. Additionally, Sky Cinema users will gain access to a dedicated Disney movie channel directly on the TV guide.
The £24 Ultimate TV plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (from March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (from March 26th), Hayu (from July, with select shows available from March), and over 130 channels from Sky.
