Sky TV customers are in for a treat as the company has rolled out a new free upgrade that includes access to Disney+. This bonus feature is part of the revamped Sky Ultimate plan, providing subscribers with access to a variety of popular content such as Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel at no additional cost.
In addition to Disney+, Sky is set to introduce HBO Max Basic and Hayu to its offerings. The integration of Disney+ content across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms will enhance user experience with features like Continue Watching, search, and voice control.
Furthermore, Sky Cinema subscribers will now have access to a dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel. For non-Sky customers, the new Sky Ultimate package is open to all UK households starting at £24 per month.
The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching on March 26 in the UK & Ireland), Hayu (full access from July), and over 130 Sky channels.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized the significance of this update, combining Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under one subscription to streamline the viewing experience. Existing customers will benefit from the expanded lineup at no extra cost, and NOW Entertainment users will receive HBO Max within the app at no additional charge.
Sky’s aim is to simplify streaming and provide viewers with a seamless and integrated viewing experience.
