A teenage girl reportedly attacked her boyfriend by cutting his head with a knife following an incident where he touched her newly operated nose. The incident took place during a heated argument between the two individuals, leading to the arrest of the girl by authorities from the Conburi police force in eastern Thailand on charges of assault.
The 18-year-old woman allegedly became aggressive towards her partner, who is also 18, after he made contact with her recently operated nose, causing her pain. The situation escalated into a physical confrontation when the woman claimed that a loud popping sound occurred inside her nose as a result of her partner’s touch.
Concerned that her surgery might have been compromised, she purportedly resorted to grabbing a kitchen knife and striking him on the head. Emergency services were summoned to the couple’s residence after the woman requested assistance, as reported by AU News.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the man with a deep four-inch cut on his scalp, bleeding profusely. Video footage of the incident captured emergency personnel entering the room where the woman was attending to her injured boyfriend.
The injured individual was swiftly taken to Laem Chabang hospital along with his emotional girlfriend, who was described as holding onto him tightly. Throughout the journey to the hospital and even during the man’s treatment in the operating room, the couple remained together.
Authorities mentioned that the woman is known for frequently altering her appearance and reportedly expressed to the police that she acted impulsively when she believed her nose job had been ruined, leading to her face being disfigured.
She stated, “During the altercation, we were pushing each other, and I felt him touch my nose. I heard a loud flicking sound, so I thought it had been disfigured. I grabbed a knife and struck him once, and he made no effort to avoid me, seemingly acknowledging his fault. I was enraged due to the pain, but I apologized to him once I had calmed down.”
A spokesperson from Laem Chabang Police informed the media that no legal action could be taken against the girlfriend as the victim declined to file a complaint against her. Despite the injury sustained, the man chose not to press charges.
