A teenager, identified as Jacob Thompson, suffered severe burns covering 32% of his body, including third-degree burns to his face, torso, arms, back, and legs following a horrific petrol attack in Coonabarabran, New South Wales, Australia. The incident, which occurred on October 13, was reportedly linked to an ongoing feud between two families in the small rural town.
Reportedly, Jacob was approached by a group of individuals who allegedly doused him with a flammable liquid before setting him on fire. Thanks to the quick actions of passersby, the flames were extinguished, and Jacob was rushed to intensive care. The extent of his injuries was so severe that even his siblings initially struggled to identify him in the hospital.
His family, deeply affected by the traumatic event, expressed their shock and stated that Jacob is now dealing with significant breathing difficulties after being on life support.
