“Tragic UPS Plane Crash Claims Mother of Two”

Date:

A woman with two children is believed to have passed away following a UPS aircraft accident in Kentucky on Tuesday evening. Angela ‘Angie’ Anderson, aged 45 and from Louisville, is one of the nine individuals who are still unaccounted for after UPS Flight 2976 crashed, resulting in 12 fatalities. She was at Grade A Auto Parts & Scrap Metal Recycling, disposing of scrap metal just after 5 pm when the plane crashed and caught fire.

Concerningly, there has been no contact with her since the incident. Her boyfriend, Donald Henderson, aged 55, had intended to accompany her but was too fatigued from a full day of work. He mentioned to WDRB, “We’ve been planning to go, but I’ve been working every day. I told her I would take her, but it was already 4:30 pm. I realized it was too late by the time we could reach there.”

William Moreland, aged 64 and father of two children with Anderson, is also desperately searching for information about her whereabouts. He expressed to the media, “[We] have come here to see what’s happening. I know we are not the only ones.”

Authorities reported that at least 16 families have reported missing loved ones, and 11 individuals sustained injuries. The airplane, en route to Honolulu, managed to ascend briefly before crashing past the airport perimeter, hitting Kentucky Petroleum Recycling and Grade A Autoparts.

A massive fireball illuminated the sky, causing a half-mile-long fire along the industrial zone. Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency on Wednesday morning to expedite resources to the location.

Meanwhile, Angela Anderson’s friend, Angel O’Rafferty, posted on Facebook: “Angela Anderson!!! I cherish you deeply. PLEASE GOD bring her and the others missing from The Plane Wreck in Louisville, Kentucky to safety.

“She arrived at the crash site at 5:11 pm, the plane struck at 5:12 pm, and there has been no communication since yesterday… please keep these individuals in your thoughts and prayers.”

Todd Inman, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) overseeing the investigation, mentioned that following clearance for takeoff, a significant fire erupted in the left wing.

“The NTSB is working to determine the cause of the fire and the reason for the engine detachment. It is anticipated that investigators will need more than a year to address these inquiries,” he stated.

Preliminary findings suggest that the aircraft gained sufficient altitude to surpass the fence at the runway’s end before crashing just outside Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, a major facility handling nearly five million passengers and over 6.95 billion pounds (3.48 million tons) of cargo annually.

Mayor Craig Greenberg of Louisville has confirmed that the death toll stands at a minimum of 12, including the three UPS crew members, multiple ground workers, and a child. Greenberg conveyed on X: “I am deeply saddened to report that the death toll has reached 12, with several individuals still missing.”
