The forecast predicts snowfall in the region during the early hours between midnight and 6 am, with snow accumulating at rates of up to 3cm per hour, leading to total snow depths ranging from 3cm to 4cm. Southern Scotland and parts of northern England, including Newcastle and segments of the Pennines, may also experience light snow or sleet.
