“Virgin Media Adds Stingray Classica and DJAZZ Channels”

Just in time for the festive season TV marathon, Virgin Media TV users are in for a treat with the introduction of two new free channels. The telecom company has unveiled the launch of Stingray Classica (Ch296) and Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297), known as FAST channels, providing a range of musical content such as world premieres, live concerts, films, and artist interviews. With programming available 24/7, viewers can enjoy a variety of entertainment at any hour.

Stingray Classica (Ch296): Catering to classical music enthusiasts, opera lovers, and ballet aficionados, this channel offers a diverse selection for both seasoned experts and newcomers. With 50 annual world premieres from prestigious concert halls, festivals, and opera houses, viewers can also enjoy top-notch documentaries, exclusive classical music shows, and weekly premieres.

Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297): Jazz enthusiasts can indulge in live jazz concerts, films, profiles, and documentaries from various venues and festivals. The channel also showcases artist features, interviews, and behind-the-scenes exclusives.

These new music channels expand Virgin’s existing lineup of 32 FAST channels, including British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime, and Haunt TV, all accessible through Virgin’s set-top boxes via the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), enhancing the company’s growing FAST channel collection.

David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed excitement about the latest offerings, stating, “We are introducing two fresh FAST channels to provide our customers with even more top-notch entertainment from Virgin TV. By continuously enhancing our selection with carefully curated channels, we aim to broaden our content range, which is why we’ve introduced two new channels.”

He added, “From classical music to jazz concerts and artist interviews, the new channels cater to all music enthusiasts’ tastes!”
