Date:

In a recent attack, Russia deployed over 650 drones and fifty missiles into Ukraine, causing extensive damage and widespread power outages. The assault resulted in casualties, including two deaths and 17 serious injuries, with children among those harmed. The United States has been urging an end to the conflict amid mounting pressure.

Near the Polish border, communities faced attacks, prompting Polish warplanes to be on alert in case missiles crossed the border. The aggressive escalation featured various weapons, including air-launched missiles, ballistic explosives, cruise missiles, and kamikaze drones.

Throughout Ukraine, alarms sounded, triggering air defense responses in multiple regions, leading to injuries, property destruction, and fires. The capital city, Kyiv, was targeted by drones, although no fatalities were reported, indicating a focus on disrupting civilian utilities.

Zaporizhzhia endured sustained strikes from numerous drones and missiles, resulting in significant damage, including the destruction of an entire apartment building. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the impact of the air strikes, acknowledging both successful interceptions and unfortunate hits.

In Dnipro, ballistic missiles struck overnight, with drones being intercepted over the Dnipropetrovsk region. Even regions far from the front line were hit in a surprising turn of events during the Russian offensive.

Explosions rocked Ivano-Frankivsk as cruise missiles targeted the area, leading to power outages as confirmed by Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv. The Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant, a critical energy hub, faced threats, emphasizing the vulnerability of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

In Mykolaiv, shelling caused power outages and disruptions to rail services, while attacks on energy facilities near Poland were reported in the Lviv region. Ladyzhyn in the Vinnytsia region was left without essential services following the strikes, prompting authorities to prepare alternative solutions.

Responding to the attacks, Poland’s air force scrambled fighter jets and surveillance aircraft to counter the missile and drone threat from Russia. The country’s Armed Forces raised alert levels for air defense and radar systems, emphasizing readiness for immediate action in the face of ongoing hostilities.
