“US Congress Requests Interview with Prince Andrew Over Epstein Links”

Date:

Sir Keir Starmer has been questioned regarding Andrew Mountbatten Windsor following a request from the US Congress for him to participate in a “transcribed interview” concerning his association with Jeffrey Epstein.

In a letter sent to the ex-prince on Thursday, US lawmakers revealed that the House Oversight Committee had uncovered financial records with annotations such as ‘massage for Andrew,’ raising significant concerns.

When asked about Andrew’s potential interview, the Prime Minister stated that it is ultimately up to Andrew to decide. While speaking to journalists in Brazil during the Cop30 summit, he expressed, “Well, in the end, it’s a personal decision for him. My belief, not specific to this case, is that anyone with pertinent information should be willing to provide it to necessary inquiries. However, the choice to participate is his own.”

The formal request from Congress coincided with King Charles officially removing his disgraced brother’s HRH title and prince designation. Signed by 16 members of Congress, the letter requested Andrew’s response by November 20, seeking his cooperation in the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking activities.

The letter emphasized the committee’s aim to uncover Epstein’s collaborators and better comprehend the extent of his criminal endeavors. Noting the well-documented allegations against Andrew and his close relationship with Epstein, the letter suggested that he may possess valuable information relevant to the investigation.

Andrew lost his titles following the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, where she accused him of sexual misconduct on three occasions. The allegations included encounters at Ghislaine Maxwell’s London residence, Epstein’s Manhattan address, and Epstein’s private island, all of which Andrew vehemently denies.
