The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has decided not to take any disciplinary action against Fallon Sherrock following her playful actions during her recent match against Dave Chisnall at the World Championship. Sherrock humorously mimicked the incident involving a drinks table that her ex-boyfriend Cameron Menzies had been involved in earlier in the week.
Menzies, who was left with injuries after his outburst towards the table following his defeat against Charlie Manby, received support from PDC chief executive Matt Porter. Porter emphasized that Menzies could seek assistance from the PDC and the PDPA if needed, highlighting the organizations’ focus on the well-being of players.
Both Sherrock and Menzies faced first-round exits from the championship. Sherrock struggled with her doubles against Chisnall, missing 20 out of 23 attempts and losing 3-0. Menzies, seeded 26th, had a close match against Manby but ultimately lost 3-2. He revealed the emotional challenges he faced after the recent passing of his uncle.
Chisnall acknowledged the competitiveness of his match against Sherrock, noting that her accuracy with doubles could have changed the outcome. He advanced to face Ricardo Pietreczko in the next round, while other seeded players like Josh Rock and Nathan Aspinall prepared for their matches.
Young talent Beau Greaves is set to begin her campaign against the 22nd seed Daryl Gurney, with the winner advancing to play Callan Rydz in the second round. The World Championship promises exciting matchups as players vie for the prestigious title at the sold-out Ally Pally.
