AppleCare One, a new subscription service, has now been launched in the UK for customers with multiple Apple devices. Following its introduction in the US last year, Apple has extended the availability of AppleCare One to the UK market. This service offers a convenient and potentially cost-effective way for British customers to safeguard up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under a single plan.
At a monthly rate of £16.99, AppleCare One provides coverage for accidental damage, loss, or theft of the enrolled devices. Apple commits to repairing the devices or offering up to three replacement devices per year, depending on the nature of the claim.
AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ service by offering unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority access to Apple support. The key advantage of AppleCare One is the ability for customers to protect multiple products with a single subscription, eliminating the need for separate plans.
According to Apple, customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch can potentially save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing individual AppleCare+ plans with Theft and Loss protection for each device.
An additional benefit of AppleCare One is the flexibility to include devices up to four years old in the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This flexibility surpasses the standard 60-day window for acquiring AppleCare+ after purchasing a device.
Apple emphasizes that the plan accommodates device upgrades seamlessly. If a covered device is traded in and replaced directly through Apple, the former device is automatically removed from the subscription, and the new one is added without any extra steps.
