Korean pop group BTS is receiving criticism from some of their supporters following the attendance of two members at a Chris Brown concert in Toronto. J-Hope and RM were seen at the show where Brown was performing alongside Usher at Rogers Stadium. BTS is set to perform at the same venue on August 22 and 23.
A photo shared on Brown’s Instagram depicts J-Hope and RM posing with the controversial singer, and videos on social media show them enjoying the concert. Brown, known for his criminal record and numerous legal issues, including an assault charge against singer Rihanna in 2009, has faced various assault charges and even served time in jail in 2014 and recently pleaded guilty to an assault charge in a London nightclub incident.
The online reactions from BTS’s ARMY fans have been mixed, with some expressing disappointment in the members for associating with Brown. Others defended J-Hope and RM, suggesting they may have attended the concert to see Usher without prior knowledge of Brown’s controversial past.
The debate surrounding the members’ attendance at the Chris Brown concert highlights the varying opinions within the fan community. BTS representatives have not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter.
