A company specializing in arranging combined flight and hotel holiday packages has declared bankruptcy, leading to the cancellation of all existing bookings.
Regen Central Ltd, a travel agency established in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom in 2011, has officially entered liquidation as of January 13, as per records available on Companies House.
The agency offered holiday and flight bundles to various destinations in Europe and Southeast Asia, operating under multiple brand names, including One Haji & Umrah, Regen Travels, and Oneworld Travels.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) website has confirmed that the company, which held an Air Travel Organisers’ Licence (ATOL), has ceased trading. ATOL, overseen by the CAA, safeguards package holiday consumers in the UK by providing financial protection, ensuring refunds or repatriation in case of a travel agency’s insolvency.
It is important to note that ATOL protection does not extend to accommodation-only or non-flight packages, leaving these bookings without the same refund security.
The CAA statement clarifies that the company did not have any outstanding ATOL-protected bookings. Therefore, refunds will not be issued for accommodation-only, non-flight packages, or flight-only bookings with issued tickets.
For any concerns regarding refunds for ATOL-protected bookings under Regen Central Ltd.’s ATOL, individuals are advised to contact the CAA via email at claims@caa.co.uk.
Despite the unfortunate turn of events, customer reviews on Google highly praise One Hajj & Umrah and Oneworld Travels for their exceptional service and professional staff, with one reviewer highlighting the seamless experience from booking to completion.
The CAA website also lists other UK-based travel companies that have shut down in the past year, including Ickenham Travel Group Ltd, Great Little Escapes LLP, and Jetline Travel Ltd.
